Arcade venues are the nerve center for prepping the Casino Heist. You need to meet with Lester at Mirror Park to purchase them on the Maze Bank Foreclosures website. Afterward, a setup mission is required to obtain the arcade's equipment. Only then, the preparations are ready to be commenced.


There are six arcades in total spread across Los Santos:
  • Pixel Pete’s – Paleto Bay – $1,, - Free (Twitch Prime subscription)
  • Wonderama – Grapeseed – $1,,
  • Videogeddon – La Mesa – $1,,
  • Insert Coin – Rockford Hills – $2,,
  • Warehouse – Davis – $2,,
  • Eight-Bit – Vinewood – $2,,

✴️It is NOT RECOMMENDED to obtain the Paleto Bay Arcade, even though it may be free of charge. A considerable number of prep works and the casino itself are located within the city. You might be saving a few hundred bucks here, though wasting hours driving/flying miles back and forth to the arcade.
First and foremost, you're going to the casino to measure up its security. Setup costs are on the house for the first try, and the vault's content is fixed on cash. However, from the second time onward, it costs $ to set it up, and the vault's content is randomized.

✅It is possible to carry out all missions solo while in an invite-only session


Once you have arrived at the casino, you're required to take photos of entry/exit points as well as points of interest (P.O.I.).

Minimum of one entry, one exit, and three thisisnl.nl, which Lester sends you the details over a text, are required to finish the mission.

Each entry and exit is dotted by blue markers on the Casino's maquette, which is purchased from the first prep board. Although it doesn't grant you premature access to them; you have to take photos of them during the Scope Out anyway.

✅Workaround: Once the vault content have been identified, it can be changed by
  • Finding a new session—before leaving the Casino's vicinity
  • Calling Lester to cancel the heist—after leaving the Casino's vicinity
These methods force the game to randomize the vault content upon redoing the Scope Out mission.

➥The heist finales for all three approaches must be completed as the leader at least once,before the option to cancel the heist after scoping it out for it to unlock.

Having different approaches for the heist is a new major feature added to the game with this update. Depending on your preferred playstyle, you can choose one of the three approaches mentioned further in this guide.

Unlike previous heists, difficulty cannot be changed in pre-game lobbies. Each finale is set to normal by default. Upon completing it, you're not allowed to hit the casino the same way as it becomes locked. The completed approach prior to the last now has a skull icon on it that indicates the difficulty is upped to Hard.

As previous heists, Hard difficulty pays more money at the cost of no extra lives for the team as well as buffing the security of the place. In this case, more hacking steps are added to hacking each keypad.
  • Three steps hacks for elevator and doors' keypads - One step for vault grate doors ➩ Normal
  • Four steps hacks for elevator and doors' keypads - Two steps for vault grate doors ➩ Hard
Support crew preps are straightforward missions "going from point A to B, grab something and deliver it back to the Arcade". Therefore, I've excluded information regarding them to prevent this guide from being longer than it already is.

Patrick happens to be transported by a police van around LS. While this event occurs in free-roam, missing it out or failing it in any way, requires finding a new session. The event takes place in random locations around the map, being marked by a blue dot on the radar as you get close to it— usually between AM and PM. Here's the list of possible location:
  • Route 68 Clubhouse
  • Route 68 Ammu-nation
  • Near Integrity Way Apartment
  • Highway off the Diamond Casino
  • Outside the main entrance to Fort Zancudo

Finding Avi Schwartzman
Such an easy task for the best and most paranoid hacker in the game. Fifty signal jammers are spread out throughout the map. They must destroy them in order to have Avi come out of hiding. They're easily recognizable by their red lights and sound emission, which are taken down by either bullets or any kind of explosives. Your best bet is a vehicle with lock-on missiles.




The location of each jammer is marked in the picture below.

✅This is more a personal preference rather than a recommendation but once you got the hang of it you can pretty much cheap out on Gunman and Driver. In both the Silent and Big con approaches, you want little to no run-ins with the guards, or perhaps going for melee/headshots, thus making the firepower unimportant. On the other hand, going in guns blazing might seem to be trickier with the guns Karl Abolaji sources out. It is advised to destroy the "Duggan Shipments". In this situation, Charlie Reed brings in decent guns without costing the world either for the aggressive approach.


✅In all 3 approaches, cops will close in on your location upon exit no matter what. Finding a hiding spot is the key here than going full speed on the road or driving uphills in hope of shaking the tail. All you need is two pairs of wheels to get you where you want. Shockingly, Karim Denz
that provides the worst services among others, offers the mighty Sentinel Classic.

✅Think three minutes is plenty? wait until you're in the vault. It feels the concept of time is totally different there. An expert hacker like Avi or Paige only costs a few more bucks; Instead, they buy you extra precious seconds to haul more loot out. Choosing between these two depends on your teammates' abilities and vault contents.
After the vault content is identified, players gain the option to choose one of the three possible approaches for the heist— Silent & Sneaky, The Big Con, or Aggressive. There are some specific prep works tied to each approach along with general ones shared between all three. Moreover, each support crew member has their respective mission to obtain the related equipment.

✴️Some of the Optional Preps can be paid for to skip. The cost of the first skip starts from $ and change incrementally with each skip up to $

🔸Vault keycards: Two keycards must be acquired that will be used to access the mantrap leading to the vault area.
    1. 💀Prison Guard: You can take the prison bus, and stick to objectives to not arouse suspicion.
      (Prison guard must be taken out with bare hands. Shooting him or striking him down with any kind of melee weapon risks alerting the cops)
    2. You can straightly go to prison. The guard will be marked on the map, then you can take the keycards off of his corpse. This will result in a four-star wanted level, but it's a lesser time-consuming method.

  • 💀Duggans' Goons: Two of the Duggans' man are carrying the keycards; one located in a motel room, while the other is walking down the streets (Bullets alert the cops but the use of melee weapons is fine)

🔹💲💀Patrol Routes: A photograph of the staff roster at a Duggan security meeting must be taken. This will reveal all of the security guards' positions during the heist.
(Guards can be killed with bullets. The roster is always in the trunk of a Lampadati Felon GT)

🔹Duggan Shipments: While being marked as optional, this prep is a must on Silent & Sneaky and Aggressive approaches. There is a total of ten shipments that must be destroyed with a minute time frame. Destroying more shipments weakens the security during the finales.
(The use of Jets/Oppressor is advised if you're planning to finish it solo)

✅Guards are wearing Vest Armors, Riot Helmets, and carry Special Carbines/Assault Shotguns by default.

Security at the Casino is weakened when the third, sixth, and tenth shipment is destroyed.
  • On the 3rd: Riot Helmets are taken away. Special Carbines/Assault Shotguns are replaced by Compact Rifles/Sweeper Shotguns
  • On the 6th: Compact Rifles/Sweeper Shotguns are replaced by Combat PDWs/Pistols
  • On the 10th: Vest Armor is taken away. Guards only carry Micro SMGs/Pistols

🔹Security intel: Completing this prep mission marks all security cameras as well as revealing their cones of vision on the minimap during the heist finales.
  • Completing all Casino's story missions as a leader is required to unlock this prep
  • The mission doesn't need to be completed with every heist, but it can if players wish to replay it

🔹💲💀Power Drills: Located at a construction site in random places. Drills can be acquired in two forms
  1. Scattered around the construction site, in toolboxes that are picked up as carrying bags by each player
  2. Loaded to a van leaving the construction site. (Killing the driver will alert the cops)

🔹💲💀Security Pass: Either of level 1 or 2 security pass should be obtained for the heist. Alternatively, the Casino's penthouse owners can steal a level 1 pass from the cleaning trolley in the penthouse if the maid is present.
  • Level 1: A fixed mission either at Hawick or Vespucci Canals. (Killing the maid or getting spotted alert the cops)
  • Level 2: Croupier can be found at a party on Richman or Vinewood Hills (Action key *Caps Lock* can be held down the whole time to avoid arousing suspicion instead of interacting with the party members)
  • Level 2:Steal a hearse from Hill Valley Church. Drive it to LS County Coroners, and obtain the pass from the valet corpse
Preps Works (Approach Specific)
  • Silent & Sneaky

    🔸Nano Drone: A fixed mission to destroy and salvage parts from LSPD drones.
    (Parts can be taken while in a vehicle as well as on foot)


    🔸Vault Laser: Two lasers must be stolen from either the Military (at El buerro Heights) or Clifford Mercenaries (Palmer-Taylor Power Station or Outside of Fort Zancudo), which will be used during the heist to quietly drill through the vault door.
    (Careful! Clifford mercenaries have a Juggernaut among them)


    🔹💲 EMP Device: The device allows the heist leader to shut down the Casino's power grid for a short time, which disables security cameras and greatly hinder guards' eyesight.
    (CEO Office cannot be accessed to spawn a Cargobob for this mission)


    🔹💲 Infiltration Suits: A set of infiltration suits must be stolen from Fort Zancudo that can provide night vision and the ability to rappel down the elevator shaft if the leader chooses any of the roof entrances.






  • The Big Con

    🔸Gruppe Sechs Gear:
    1. A damaged Stockade must be stolen from an auto repair shop to be used for the Security Tunnel entrance.
      (Lester can be called to call off the pursuit at any time during this prep)
    2. 💀 Infiltrate a security meeting and send an image of a Stockade's license plate to Lester, then steal the Gruppe Sechs' outfits for disguise during the heist.
    🔸Bugstar Gear:
    1. Steal a Bugstars' Burrito that also contains the required equipment and outfits to use during the heist.
    2. 💀 A Trashmaster full of insects must be stolen for the team to have pests readily available for the Bugstars approach.
    🔸Maintenance Gear:
    1. Two bags of equipment and outfits must be stolen from a maintenance crew for use during the heist.
    2. An LSDWP van must be stolen and then taken to the Casino. Once there, players must pour chemicals into a broken ventilation unit atop the building. After this, the van needs to be delivered to the Arcade.

    🔹Yung Ancestor:
    1. Dead Weight: Dispose of a dead body inside the boot of the Yung's car

    2. After Party: Destroy Cameras of paparazzi to prevent photos of Yung from being released



    🔸Vault Drills: Two vault drills must be stolen so the heist crew can access the vault during the heist. (While in G6 entry the guard opens the vault door for you, the drills are still needed, as the prep is mandatory)



    🔹💲 Exit Outfits: Choose to obtain between two exit disguises for use, after robbing the Casino to have an easier exit
    1. Firefighter Gear: A fire truck can be sourced at their station or Vinewood Hills
      (Entering the truck calls three stars wanted level on you)
    2. NOOSE Gear: Two carrying bags must be stolen from Mission Row police station
      (Entering the station calls four stars wanted level after you)


    3. High Roller Outfit: A set of fifty-four playing cards must be collected from across the LS to unlock this outfit
      (This outfit works pretty much the same as the other two. Unlike them, there's no prep work for it, and as soon as the last playing card is collected, High Roller permanently unlocks as an exit disguise upon wearing it at least once)





  • Aggressive

    🔸Thermal Charges: Obtain thermal charges for use during the heist. these will replace the hacking done in the vault during the other two approaches



    🔸Vault Explosives: Two plastic explosives must be stolen from a sunken plane at North Calafia/The Banning for use. These will replace the drilling done on the vault door during the other two approaches



    🔹💲 Reinforced Armor: Steal two sets of reinforced armor in order to aquire extra damage resistance during the heist finale



    🔹💲💀 Tunnel Boring Machine: This prep can be done if an image of the sewer entrance is sent to Lester. It drills a shortcut right to the security area of the vault, saving time instead of going through all the guards on the upper floor
🐱‍👤 Finales - Silent & Sneaky

This is the approach I dislike, but it's easy to pull off as the guards' locations are fixed, and their patrol routes are heavily scripted. Taking different entries might seem to be a good change of routines, though each leads you to the Staff Lobby area. It is advised to take either Waste Disposal or the Staff Lobby entries to save time. Besides a couple of cameras, the security outside is non-existence.

Once you're in, make your way through the security room by the elevator area. Here you can open the small vault to the left of the elevator where the daily takings are kept. The amount usually varies between $30k to $90k. (Randomized with every restart)

Proceed through the stairs and take out the guy coming up. There's also one camera down the stairs that needs to be either disabled or evaded. The elevator could be used as well, but be prepared to deal with a couple of guards right in front of the entrance once you arrive at the vault floor. Now's the best time for the host to activate the EMP. You can freely run around, taking out the few remaining guards in the area as their eyesight is reduced to only one foot in front of them. Also, they won't change their positions when the lights are killed.

Continue through the mantrap and cut open the vault door. Once in, make sure you assign all the hacking to one person while the other member(s) grab the loot. Hacking the panels is a very time-killing process as it takes about 10 seconds just for the starting animation and another seconds to finish the hack, considering the hacker is doing an efficient job. You can also assign drilling the lockboxes to the team if you have a third or fourth member. Although each full box only grants you an extra $, many of them happen to be empty. Opening them is not recommended, which instead extra seconds are saved to work on the Elite challenge.

Upon leaving the vault, the area before mantrap is usually unguarded, or at best, two might have a short conversation, then move on to patrol the elevator area. Make sure to use the stairs again and this time, go through the laundry rooms instead of the way you came in, which only puts a camera and a couple of guards between you and the Staff Lobby exit.
➥ Any exit can be used at this point, regardless of your choice on the heist board.

Getaway cars may spawn at various locations depending on the chosen driver, so you must adapt your escape route to it. For instance:
  • If cars are spawned within the race track, you can choose to go up the hills by taking the right when leaving the track. Continue along the highway and driving through the fields around the prison
  • If spawned in the parking lot across the race track, you can choose the sewer tunnel for a smooth escape. Make sure you won't come back to the area around the casino, as the five-star wanted level is called again
  • If a chopper is spawned on the roof of the police station close to the casino, you can climb up to the roof and use it for a quick escape to save time toward the Elite challenge

So far this approach is the easiest way to hit the casino with the G6 disguise making it an even easier attempt to break in. Yung Ancestor, Bugstar, and Maintenance crew disguises are somewhat like the silent approach, but considerably harder. No suppressor is provided for guns and you must only rely on melee kills when necessary. Entries below are listed in order of difficulty from hardest to easiest.


  1. Yung Ancestor: You and your team enter from the main door and go through the management area. After a hilarious, but rather stupid cutscene, you spawn on a floor above the staff lobby. All guards consider you as hostile in the back areas, therefore sneaking your way back to the laundry area is advised to use either the elevator or the stairs. The rest plays out the same as wearing other disguises, though this one comes with a small reward.



    🔹Yung calls you on the way out, and offers to take his Grotti Furia as a getaway car. Bringing the car to drop-off will unlock its trade price.





  2. Maintenance: Enter from the Staff Lobby and be guided through the laundry area by the guards. You can roam these two areas with no problem but any guards beyond the elevator room will shoot on sight.

  3. Bugstar: Enter from the Staff Lobby and be guided through the management area in order to take the elevator straight down to the vault floor, skipping any encounters with guards in the staff lobby.

    ✴️ The laundry area is restricted to the fumigators. Your cover will be blown if you're spotted there when trying to recover the stashed weapons.

  4. Gruppe Sechs: Take the Stockade to the Security Tunnel under the race track. Drive through the checkpoint and take the stairs or elevator down to the vault floor. A cutscene plays and the funny vault guy gets it open for you. Take the stairs, but don't worry about the camera there. Proceed through the laundry area. You'll be taking out two guards most until you reach the exit disguises.

The most fun and straightforward approach. Earlier, I mentioned choosing Charlie Reed as the Gunman for this approach, but you can cheap out on this one as well. The look of the Sawed-Off Shotgun and Heavy Revolver Karl Abolaji sources out for you is misleading, but both setups come with a vanilla SMG, which gets the job excellently done if the security is weakened.

As much as the other entries like bursting through the main doors or rappelling down the elevator shaft seem intriguing, it is preferred to make yourself a shortcut by tunneling through the sewer. Proceed as usual and blast open the vault door. However, there's a little twist this time. Going loud gives you -1 minute time in the vault, regardless of your hacker. Although you're going to use thermal charges on the grates, instead of hacking.

This time on the way out, take the elevator up or you must face five guards waiting for you in the staircase. You can't linger around too much, as the guards keep spawning from waste disposal and the laundry area in a small amount. Drabbing the daily takings is advised to make up for the money lost so far.

Continue your escape route as you see fit. It seems reasonable to finally put the Gunman Decoy/Clean Vehicle features to use this time, though if you are using any of the escape routes suggested in the Silent & Sneaky section, they are unnecessary.

In this section, I try to cover as many bugs as possible that my friends and I have experienced during free-roam in the Arcade, in prep works, and the heist itself. Most of them occur due to desync issues between players, and can be easily avoided if all parties present in the lobby have a decent connection. Feel free to share the bugs you have encountered. Let me know if any of them listed here has been patched in the comments and I'll update the section.

Arcade:
  • Upon spawning there for the first time after launching the game, you might find all boards to be blank. Going back to the story and rejoining online fixes it.

  • It might happen to get the second board layout stretched all over your screen or on your iFruit phone when using The Interaction menu. Closing and opening the interaction menu seems to fix it (Credits to "Loki !" for the workaround)


Prep works:
  • During any of the prep works that a keycard must be acquired, interacting with NPCs corpse might take longer than usual due to obstructions

  • At the party during Security Pass level 2 (Croupier), the player might get stuck in a dancing loop and cant be canceled by pressing Esc. Trying to pull out a weapon and holding right-click will get you unstuck

  • During Duggan Shipments, sometimes an enemy boat tries to flee to the edge of the map. Rarely happens and no fix so far

  • During Nano Drone Prep, might happen the player not being able to collect the parts while in a vehicle. Requires you to pick it up on foot

  • During Vault Explosives, the player might not be able to grab the equipment right away. Must swim around it for a couple of seconds

  • During Thermal Charges, the Player who dies might get stuck in a black loading screen. The player could take several minutes to spawn again or not spawn at all until the prep is finished by other crew members


Finales:
  • Upon launching the finale, the player might get stuck inside a dark arcade with nothing to interact with while other players have spawned properly. Can only be fixed by relaunching the heist

  • Upon launching the finale, Camera might get stuck at spawning animation while you have control over your character. Can only be fixed by relaunching the heist

  • Upon launching the finale, Textures might not load properly and sometimes results in a crash. Can only be fixed by relaunching the heist

  • The vehicle used to drive to the casino at beginning of the finale might spawn at another arcade entry if players present in lobby, own arcades at different locations

  • Sometimes instead of spawning at the host's arcade the game spawns you at random locations like Mt. Chiliad, Sandy shores Airfield (Credits to "Deadrclord" for discovering this bug)

  • Players might get stuck in an infinite black loading screen at any point during the heist

  • During any of the finales, player(s) might get all weapons given by every gunman, with both options they provide, yet you'll lose them if you die or restart the heist (Credits to "Loki !" for discovering the bug)

  • During the Silent & Sneaky finale, dead guards' guns might shoot randomly due to desync. Can be avoided by killing double guards at the same time/ only one player killing them/ not shooting them when they're still in ragdoll animation

  • During Silent & Sneaky finale, a body might be found for no reason even if players haven't killed anyone so far

  • During the Silent & Sneaky finale, Cameras might be stuck facing the wall thus, not being able to detect players

  • During The Big Con finale, driving the Stockade recklessly leads it to get stuck and tremble around the checkpoint area, resulting in being spotted or the Stockade lights up in fire and being put out a few seconds later. You can continue as nothing happened after that

  • In the vault, players may get stuck standing still or while interacting with anything due to sync issues. No fix but only quick restarting

  • In the vault, no loot might appear due to sync issues. Loot trolleys will be empty with no blips on the radar. a restart is required to fix it

  • In the vault, one or several artworks/ carts might become inactive, only fixed by quick restarting

  • In the vault, running towards a Money/ Gold cart while spamming the interact key might cause the player to get stuck and become unable to loot. Only a restart can fix this

  • In the vault, a graphical bug may occur if the loot is artworks. Artworks that can be looted will be inside wall cages like the rest, but still interactive

  • Upon leaving the mantrap area, the double door might not open at the same time for all players due to sync issues

  • During The Big Con and Silent & Sneaky finale, guards might stay completely still and not moving at all. Their position makes it nearly impossible to progress since they position themselves near security doors, elevators, and vault doors. In SnS, you can counter it by using the EMP while in Big Con, you have to choose a different entry disguise. (Thanks to Silverbolt for bringing this to my attention)

  • During The Big Con finale, the exit disguises may become inactive and the icon will be removed from radar. You can still escape with your current outfit or quick restart to fix the problem

  • Upon leaving the casino using the staff lobby exit (other exits haven't been tested yet), players may get shot during the loading time thus losing money or end up dying before the NOOSE arrival cutscene plays. An inevitable bug that happens a lot

  • During the escape through Sewers, cops might still be on your tail if the player had lost them already. It usually happens when players have reached the other side of the tunnel without losing the cops. This can be prevented by driving slowly and losing the cops in the first half of the tunnel.

  • If players have been out of the cops' sight for long but still not losing them, all players must step out of the vehicle, walk/run around some and then get back in. this will force all players in that vehicle to be synced properly

  • Upon completing the heist, some players' pistol ammo might reset to zero. Unfortunately, there's no working around this
