Avi Schwartzman is a new character introduced for the first time in Grand Theft Auto Online. Lester Crest from the original campaign of Grand Theft Auto 5 describes Avi as a paranoid character. The reason he's so valuable is due to his record fast ability to hack through safes. For the Diamond Casino Heist, he's amongst the fastest to hack open the safe. This leaves more time for the players to escape, and thus generate more revenue from a successful heist. He is a valuable asset, but one that may take a bit of time to complete. For starters, the player must have already completed the Pacific Standard heist missions. The Pacific Standard heist missions require the player to locate Avi who is being captive at a small island off the west coast and bring him to safety. Once this mission is complete, players will have the opportunity to unlock Avi Schwartzman after the next task. For Avi to want to join the heist, the player must find and destroy 50 signal jammers hidden around Los Santos. This guide will help players locate all 50 of the jammers to recruit Avi Schwartzman.

After collecting all the Signal Jammers, Avi Schwartzman will be available to have as a team member for heists. He requests 10% from the final take of the heist. Grand Theft Auto 5 online gives stories to these new characters. Even a character who has never been introduced in series history. The game writes Avi as a character who has slightly lost their mind as during his time on the island, he talks about speaking with animals. Avi also mentioned Lester was a part of a murder in the past. Minor events like these bring tons of character to Los Santos.
